Tales of Spain/Tapas Gitana

On Wednesday 4th and 5th grade DL classes delved into the heart of Spanish culture and cuisine through our field trip to Northeastern University to see Tales of Spain. We learned about the castañuelas, the 12 beat palmares, and about Spanish dance from Galicia, Madrid, and Andalucía. It was fabulous to see the beautiful dresses and passionate choreography. We also ate delicious tapas including pinchos de pollo y chorizo, bacon wrapped dates, tortilla española, goat cheese, patatas bravas, and a yummy spanish ice cream desser

El miércoles las clases de 4to y 5to grado doble lenguaje fuimos a un paseo a Northeastern University para ver una obra de historia y danza española. Aprendimos sobre los castañuelas, el ritmo de 12 y, y sobre danzas de partes distintas de España. Fue fabuloso ver a la coreografía, y los vestuarios impresionantes. Después fuimos a comer tapas en Tapas Gitana donde probamos pinchos de pollo y chorizo, dátiles con tocino, tortilla española, queso de cabra, patatas bravas, y helados.
